Hey Dan

was looking at your blog, and wonder why you are towing the Vibe rather than
the VW?

too much weather?

If you put a combiner from the GMC to the tow car, you will not have a
rundown battery. ;>) also works the other way, I once wanted the toad to
charge the GMC.

good luck on the trip

Gene, I ran the battery down on the Vibe with the aprs before we left home and never got it charged up. the voltage cut off plug from Walmart does not work properly, 3rd one. Normally the Roadmaster does not drain the battery. I charged it fully Sunday and we did 600 miles today, no problem with battery. But, your suggestion on the combiner is a good one. Could probably use the one I have on the Onan lawn mower battery.
We travel a lot out here. I wanted a decent ride when we go to Tucson or Phoenix. We are here for the winter, or a good part of it. The bug is a short trip car, 40-50 miles.
Ken, had gps trouble. I did get one working in El Paso about 1 pm. Wont buy any more chinese gps units. Will get a good one before we head to Quartzsite so the kids can follow us.
