Well, we are off to Fremont on Sunday morning with an appt. with Jim K and his boys for a new transmission, 3.55 final drive and drivers side windshield. Finally decided to quit oiling down the freeways with trans fluid and get a new transmission. Steve F. talked me into a 3.55 final drive although stongly suggested that a 3.70 would be better but since ours is a 23' I think the 3.55 will be fine.

Manny indicated he was not going to have any Christmas "cheer" while assembling the new transmission this week so I have complete confidence the new one will be great. We're going to stay in Morro Bay Sunday night and then to Fremont Monday. Apparently temps in Morro Bay were at freezing last night so we'll take both electric heaters and the electric blanket with us. Looking forward to hanging out in San Francisco for a couple of days. Got a screaming deal on a room at the Marriot Courtyard. Nick indicated that they should have the job done maybe even late Tuesday but Wednesday afternoon would be fine with us. We'll take a nice slow break in drive back south. I'm really interested as to the post-mortem Manny does on my old trans to see where the leak was. If it was not for the leak the thing shifts just fine so it will be a good core for him.

By the way, thanks to my wife Joanne for taking the money for this job from HER account. I've bought her some extra special presents this year.

Trip report to follow including all the places on Hwy 101 where you can by cheap trans fluid on the way north.

Have a great holiday.

Thanks

Gary and Joanne Worobec

Most of the GMC guys should feel fortunate that we have the partners
that we have.
I have seen some where the guy had to sell it because the partner said to.

Alright Gary. I have a leaking rear cover on mine. I have slowed it down and will keep working on it. Wish I had one of Manny's units in it. tranny is only thing that has not been replaced in our coach and it works great. Just got to keep a pan under it so it don't leak in our driveway. You will like the 355. That's what we have.
Keep us up to date on your trip. Post some pictures of Jim's guys working on your coach. I love seeing happy folks and they will be happy working on your machine.
