Excessive Postings [message #68247] |

There are far too many people posting on this net on this Christmas Eve day. Why aren't you out in the kitchen helping. That is where I am headed back to as soon as I hit the send key. Twenty six family members and friends coming for dinner.
Anyhow, a very Happy Holidays to all of you. May whomever or whatever you believe in smile greatly upon you.

Almost forgot!
I'd better start shopping while I have the time!
Merry Christmas to all who contribute to this net!

Would you rather we sat here and did it tomorrow?

Cleaning is good. Shoveling sucks. I used to pay for my school
clothes by caddying in the summer, and shoveling white s^^t in the
winter. I don't miss it and especially don't miss the road salt.
Back in '57 our neighbors bought a new Plymouth. Within two years it
was rust up to the door handles. Remember Rambler's deep dip rust
proofing in '58? That barely worked in MN road salt.
I have seen a lot of damage to GMCs caused by road salt. It is not
limited to the frame. I had a couple of A arm cores that you could
almost see through. Wish I had taken photos for my "hall of shame"
list.

Hey, its been raining off and on and the current temp is 34ºF. Course, during the off periods of rain, it has been snowing.
Hope Santa (or whomever) was good to you last nite.

Jim,
Santa is good to me all year long. Just got off the phone with my
sister, and brother. Sis is snowed in in Waite Park, MN, little
brother moves out of his house (it was foreclosed on) tomorrow and
will be living in his Jeep for a while. I don't envy his predicament
in that weather.
Have any GMCers contacted you on my referral?

Steve, I can't believe you shoveled white salt in the winter there, and didn't enjoy it. It's not a bad term, ya know.

Yah, I got an email from a guy. I believe he was from Jordan. Couldn't help him much as I had no equipment or knowledge for doing what he wanted. Steered him to an outfit up in Elk River who did have that knowledge and equipment. Got a response back that he was going somewhere else altogether.
