Jim Bounds made one run. He made a UTUBE vid of it.

He'd be the one to ask questions.

G'day,

When I was doing my homework on converting the Caddy to LPG I found out that
hot rodders run up to 13 to 1 compression ratio in a car that runs on LPG
because the octane rating is around 110.

By running a compression ratio of 10 to 1 in the Caddy 500 I hope to regain
the power lost by the lower energy content of Autogas.

I plan on breaking the engine in on petrol and then switching it over to
Autogas.

Dual fuel can be done but here are the problems:

Here in Australia Autogas is available just about everywhere. Ford Australia
builds a UTE (Ranchero type vehicle) that runs on Autogas only. They drove
it all around Australia to show dual fuel was not necessary.

I had two Chev 454 trucks on propane. It works good. Easy to convert to and back if you have to.
