I see the emails have not been "mirrored" by the forum for about 3 days. Not sure where the problem lies.

Dan,

Something is broken somewhere. The system seems overloaded, and I don't think there is any more traffic than ususal. Here is a message we are getting when we try to log on to the web forum:

Do any of you fellows get a php error when you try to read the GMC Forum?

Well, the notes are making it into the emails. I am signed into the forum and my notes are being emailed. So, I would guess, for some reason, the emailers are not getting onto the forum. Something is wrong with the forum would be my conclusion.
Yes, sometimes I do get that note. Has been on and off since Friday.
I am sure Eugene is aware of the problem.

Chris, the problem with that is, most of the older and more knowlegable guys use email. They like it the best. I don't like the email system so I use the forum. I am thankful to Eugene for keeping the forum going. By him doing this for us he is keeping both groups happy. It seems to me the forum is much easier to use so when I meet new GMCers I refer them here.
I am sure we will be up and running soon. If not, I will sign back in and receive emails til we are.
Dan
PS you work on that tranny this weekend? Quartzsite is sneaking right up on us.

Ditto.

But I'll let Y'All in on a little secret: I've been using GMail for over a
month now, in a new beta configuration -- offline. All of my emails, to
both Bellsouth and GMail addresses, are consolidated into GMail and
THREADED. The off-line version works almost identically to the on-line
version so one gets the advantages of the email system and the forum. With
the filtering and labeling features of GMail, I can tell my email status at
a glance. I like it better than either of the other techniques.

My email program (Evolution Mail) has the option of threading.
I grab my email off all of my ISPs and process it off line.

Guys, it was a joke, jeez.

Dan. You are right, Quartzite is closing in. I think the eldo diffy is fine, I will button her up, install the seals, and bolt her on. I think I will do the trans the week after Christmas, I plan to take the whole week off and FINISH THE COACH.

What's the worst thing that can happen? noise? I still have the stock 3.07 as a spare.
