It was 11 years ago that the Black List came into being on this date.
After years of emailing the list to folks, Ken H and Billy Massey
convinced me to let it get put on Billy's site. I didn't know at the
time what a site he was preparing for all of us. Now, Billy does all
the work on the list.
The list was a suggestion by GMCnetter Tom Winslow on December 5,
1998, regarding an assistance list for Triumph owners. He also holds
the distinction of being the first member of the list. As a non GMC
owner (AM NOW), I felt keeping the list was a sort of payback for the
information and friendships I got from the GMC Net. As for the name,
the list was and is The GMC Motorhome Assist List. The name "Black
List" came from some of the member's twisted minds and it stuck. {:>)
It started by being posted as an email to those who requested it until
it got too large to handle by email.
This is another reason to support Billy Massey and his efforts to
preserve the GMC information for us all and future owners. So if you
didn't contribute to support his site, here is another reason to do so.

Thanks Roger and everyone else. I keep mine updated on the traveling computer. I enjoy knowing where everyone is just in case I might need someone. If you are not on the Black List, please get yourself on it. It does not mean you have to travel and work on a down GMC. Sometimes just a voice on the other end of the phone might be all one of us needs.
