Richard,
looks like someone wired in a receptacle to plug in a 12v. lighter plug. Little hard to tell size from the picture, but the "socket" should be about 5/8" or so in diameter and maybe 1-1/4" long. (inside dimensions)

Looks like a place to plug in your "cigar lighter"... or other 12v auto plug in device.

Yep, I use it to charge my cell phone.. Ford pickups have one beside the cigar lighter. My Crestmont has one under the cabinet next to the TV antenna coax and antenna boost switch.

It is 5/8 ID and 1 3/4" long, solid copper barrel and a copper prong on the bottom, no threads or bayonets. There are no marks of use but as suggested it sure does fit the description of a 12v plug in. Never saw one like it.

Richard,
It is just a 12vdc single extension plug. If you have a 12VDC device
that plugs into you cigarette light socket the wire is short and won't
reach this is an single extension. I found a couple in the 75 coach
and you can find them at most auto parts stores.

IT's a 12vdc lighter plug, exactly what I installed to plug my CPAP machine into.

Richard,
Bean Station WILL be on Kentucky Derby weekend -- usually the last weekend
in April or first in May. That's per Mary Samsel, our hostess, so you can
start planning even before the schedule is published. :-)
There may be a rally before then, but I don't think so.

Bean Station, TN is in the North Eastern Corner of the Great State of Tennessee. It is about 70 miles, due west of Bristol, TN. 2010 dates are April 29, 30 and May 1. You can come a little early and stay a little late.
This is the greatest "work" rally. And, Marti Samsel knows how to throw a party.
A more detailed description, including a sign up coupon will be in the Spring 2010 issue of the GMC Dixielander Newsletter. It should be published around middle of Feb. Otherwise, it will be on the Dixielander Web site, after the paper copy is mailed to the membership. Join Dixielanders (plug) and get your own personal copy delivered by a uniformed member of the USPS.
