I have seen this vintage (late 1950s/ early 1960s???)Carpenter bus at the wal-mart in greenville,s.c. many times lately on Sunday mornings.......it is nicely redone, has Tennessee plates and always has the Jeep toad with it.......inconspicously peering through the rear side doors, it appears to have 2-cycle Detroit power......probably a 6V-71....since part of a valve cover is all I could see it may have been a 4-cycle 8.2 fuel pincher.......I am not meaning to start a "this is not a TZE" war here, but I just thought this bus was interesting........

Those non-original A/C on the roof look out of place.
Is this set up as an RV?
