I spoke with her yesterday and she was overcome with emotion. Her name is DANA BROCK and she lives at the KOA in Needles, CA. You may reach her at brock.dana.m@gmail.com. Pay attention to the dots(.) in the email address.
As of today, you have contributed $1040, 3 air bags, and 7 or more tires. I haven't figured out the shipping on the tires yet, but 7 may be delivered by the donor in early December.
I recall her telling me she had a "want" list but I don't know have it. Contact her to see what else she may need.
I cannot thank you all enough for caring about this single Mom and for giving so generously........Michael at GEMRECS

Netters,
We are staying at the KOA in Needless, CA. If you've never been to
Needless, you need to visit just once to see how good you have it no matter
where you are at present.
We met the young lady last eve. I cannot imagine having to live in a GMC
with two kids in this place. I cannot imagine living here since last NOV in
a GMC in this place. (Look up the avg temps here year round.)
The GMC she purchased was pretty much used as a stationary cabin for an
older couple who enjoyed their time together mostly fishing. There was, and
is, not much in that coach that hasn't been jerry rigged. Nothing was
fixed, just bandaided enough to get by. Thanks to many of you who have
contributed, she finally got to test drive the coach four days ago. The
initial mechanic hired to install many of the items donated just plain
ripped her off. Some of the parts off the coach disappeared along with
him. Probably the best thing that could happen as his competence level
might qualify him to wash the coach, not much more.
She still needs a ton more stuff, funds are low, she looks to be a bit
exhausted towards the end of this ordeal. She speaks highly of Michael
Bozardt, Jim K., and Miguel. Maybe the end is in sight for her.

PLEASE NOTE THE DATES OF THESE POSTINGS. MINE ARE FROM 2009 WHILE STEVE'S IS CURRENT. I did not know DANA was still there. I thought she had gone back East.
I will contact her to bring y'all more up to date on how you can once again, help this young woman. You may ask why doesn't she help herself and get out of there? I do not know the answer to that question nor does it matter to me. The fact is she is there with two children, the youngest of whom is 6 by now an the boy is in the 7th(I think) grade. She had a poor quality GMC motorhome and a car. She is white,in her 20's or early 30's and that is all I know. She had hoped to get the coach running well enough to get to Miguel in SOCAL, but I guess that did not happen.
Last year, GMCers on the net sent her over $1300-I still have your names somewhere, which I never gave to Dana at your request.

Please post a list of things she needs. I will be going in that direction sometime shortly after Christmas and could stop by with things for her.
