(Excuses first.) I have been down with a mild case of the flu. No I am
not going around "oink, oink" ing everyone but I have been spending an
excessive amount of time reading the net. (Apologies start here) As
such I have been critical in my posting. It is truly not my net. It
belongs to some Deity named "Flowers" or something like that who I
have never met. Would like to though. And you guys can put anything in
here that you want. And yes, my delete button works fine. It is just
that I don't have any thing else to do. And GMC is my favorite
subject. please accept my apologies.........Terry

In what way?? I would not ride a HD chopper but I find them

Terry,
Good example -- I am intrigued by the Ultravan because I understand it is monocoque construction. Also, always like the air cooled Corvair engine. So the idea of a Corvair powered motorhome weighing under 5,0000 lbs is interesting. The only one I have seen in person was at a distance as it passed through town. I have seen a few comments about a later model that came with a small block Chevy but not sure if that was truly factory.
So, interesting, but not so much that I plan to buy one.

Too bad you weren't at the Greater Midwest Classics Rally up in Duluth as
you could have seen one up close and personal! Quite a few of the GMCers

Yes, it was "factory". Chevrolet quit making the Corvairs, so the
UltraVan switched to a 305 Chev, with a marine V-drive and a Corvette
differential.
There was a later model with a "midship" engine, but I don't have any
first-hand info on that.
