Untill we look, it is hard to tell for sure.
If you have not changed the hoses in the last 15 years, your option is
to rehose.

Jim's boys replaced my fuel lines and I can now turn on the nozzle
and walk away. She fills up all by herself, well, eh, after fiddling
with the G@##%#ed fuel nozzles here in the Bay Area.

I've got to find that pic of the 45 degree piece of pipe cut just for
fueling in the Golden State.

Gene,

I've cut about an inch off of an old piece of pipe wrap and placed it in the fuel filler box. When I go to fill up I simply slip it over the end of the gas nozzle, turn on the pump and walk away. It works perfectly on these California fuel nozzles.

I still have about 2' of it under the sofa since I didn't know if the gas would dissolve the foam. I've filled up twice and the foam is still there. So far, so good.

Thanks for the tip. One of the cheapest fixes yet!
