Gene/Ken,
I have an APC on both coaches and I have two questions:
1) if I read the responses correctly we don't need a Zap stop if we have an
APC installed?
2) if the alternator does go nuts and puts out 100 volts does it burn out
the APC?
I read the info in the links but it doesn't cover these questions.
The reason I ask is I would carry a spare if it does.

looks similar, but this just protects the alternator if you unload the
output of the alternator , (like you are switching the output).
The APC is different, the APC protects the wiring behind the dash from the
alternator going berserk and delivering 100 volts to the the wiring and
burning up the wires.
need to do this now

Do different jobs, but you don't need the zap stop at all (unless you run
with out either battery (switch them off while running)

noooooo, the APC is good for 1000 reverse volts, so a good margin there.
