Doing an internet search I find there is a dealer in Atlanta that has 8 GMC's listed. Does anyone know this operation or the coaches listed? IIRC there are 2 or 3 Royales listed that might provide a starting point for me. I would hate to waste a trip to Atlanta to look these coaches over if someone has personal knowledge of them or the operation.

Thanks
Wayne

Wayne, Dick is trying to hook you up with one in New England. Are you getting his messages?
There have been a couple of folks look at the coaches in Atlanta. Not sure what they found out about them.

If you are referring to the one in PA, yes. I have emailed them and received some pics and am awaiting a follow up email with a description of the coach. My dilema is that I don't want to get fixated on any one coach and miss out on something that might suit me better. Hence the inquiry into the Atlanta coaches.

Did you fix that headlight yet?

Wayne.  I asked the same question some time ago & was told that sold coaches were still on his site. One in particular was the  nice looking rear twin bed Royale. Somebody else probably has more info .

I contacted the firm in Atlanta when I was looking in 05 & spring of 06......everything they had listed had been sold, they just never remove the ads. I just took a look at the site, several listed were "for sale" when I was looking and had been sold.

I had to chuckle Wayne. Thanks for reminding me to change that bulb in the headlight. Just put it on the list for when it stops raining. I worked on a couple of inside jobs today. Got to get it ready for another trip to Az. soon.
Last Spring the fella had two GMCs, there in Atlanta, according to a friend of mine in Tx. Not sure which ones they were.
Yes, I was talking about the one in Pa. Maybe it will work for you. We are sure glad that you have decided to become a GMC owner. You won't regret it.

Who is the dealer in Atlanta?

There are two that I know of. Southland Motorhome Center, in Buford, is
owned by Zeb Frady and is a long established (1976) reputable GMC
expert. You can call Zeb and get straight answers.

There's another person in the Atlanta area who intermittently contacts
me or other GMC owners I know and mentions having GMCs for sale,
claiming to have dealt in them for years. In fact, I think he showed up
for a few hours at our Dixielanders rally early this month. No one I
know has ever had any dealings with him nor been able to get much
information out of him. I think his primary business is, or was,
swimming pools, but that is also sort of iffy information. All in all,
I'd be careful dealing with him although he may be one of the best guys
in the word. Just that after having been a very active GMC owner 125
miles away for 11 years, I'm leery of someone I don't know.

Wish I'd gone to Atlanta with HER this weekend to visit our daughter &
family; I could have checked for you.

The building in the background looks like Zeb Frady's new place in
Buford. It's worth a call to talk to him or his son, whose name I've
forgotten.

The innocuous little phrase "4 to choose from" appears in both ads. I
suspect they're both Zeb's.

I would see if you can find a local GMC'r to put eye-balls on any coach before traveling any distance to see one. (The Black list might be helpful.) That should insure that the coach is REALLY there and for sale. You MIGHT even get an impression of the value of the coach. JWID: when looking at a coach in Denver. (Thanks guys!) Also, Be willing to look at coaches for others if asked.

G'day,

Depending on the price of the coach I'd recommend you have it surveyed by
one of the professionals that work on GMC's.

I was going to buy a GMC out in CA and had it taken up to Miguel Mendez's
shop for inspection. The hit list on this "well maintained" coach made me
walk away: no make that run!
