Gearheads are a thing of the past. The new generation are into NOX,
boom boxes, megaphones, LED's and crawling around so low the snakes
won't come out anymore. The balance are sitting in a circle texting to
one another. Few have any interest in pulling wrenches and none of them
want to get greasy. Look at any of the construction trades. They are
begging 70 year olds to keep working because all they have is 20-25 year
olds with no training or skill. There is a 40 year gap in there with
very few gearheads. I believe this is what is affecting the price of
GMC's. Perfectly good, usable, 10+ year old vehicles are called
clunkers and are going to the crusher. The new generation has a very
different set of skills and interests. Buying a new car they can't
afford and will never own, on credit, is where they are at. We are the
last of the gearheads.
