All,
I have found more info about the white Birch that I noticed a few months ago. (My last communication with Dave follows.)
>>Dave,
>> I noticed a nice 23' in a storage lot on the way home from work. (Hillsboro Oregon,
>> on Evergreen Parkway near the Airport.) It is fenced off but I could see the rear
>> plate: Oregon "HC 41363" From 30 yards away, through the fence it "looks" to be a
>> repainted, 77 or 78, rear bath, Birchaven.
> Mike, my source for running license plates retired a year ago so unfortunately the

>> If it doesn't pop up anything in your data-base, I'll have to do some more snooping
>> for the TZE.
It had disappeared for over a month (along with most of the other rigs stored there) but now is back up front where I could see it. It had a for sale sign on it. I checked Criagslist and it was listed:

I just got back from looking at it. I took some pictures and will be post some of them. <http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=5294> I did get the TZE for Dave.

It is a 1976 that has been repainted. (It DID leave the factory as a white coach.) The stripes are painted under the base coat. (The good way.) It has a newer looking ZipDee awning that I did not unroll, but has a blue striped pattern. It has a low profile AC, tinted windows, updated head and tail lights that together really modernize the look. (Note the fixed side window next to the dinette is broken. The tint is holding it together and Don says he has one ordered.) It has fairly new tires on steel wheels with two piece wheel simulators. It also has an under the bumper receiver hitch, side vents and a Ragusa step. No pod.
There has been some modifications done to the AC system. (I do not know what the changes where or how well they work.) It has what looks to be an aftermarket transmission cooler. I did not look under the engine cover and only heard the engine from a distance. (Sounded ok.) I did not take it for a test drive.
Insides it looks good, the original headliner (wallpaper) is still there and seems to be holding up good. (Unlike most Birches and Royales.) The Dinette material is a bit worn and they have removed the padded things that cover the ends. (Don says they have cut them down in size and haven't reinstalled them.) I do not think the floor (carpet) is original and but it looks good. The couch is the older style that is better for sleeping than sitting. (Unlike my '78, that is better for sitting than sleeping. Maybe I could trade....)
Overall, it looks like a good deal with an asking price $9800. (But I would recommend a better check than I have done before buying.)
If anyone is interested, call Don. If I can help by check on something, let me know.
