Hi all:

Yesterday I got a call from my surgeon with good news and bad news.

First the Bad News:

He received the pathology report on the cyst taken from my neck.

It was a malignant tumor - diffusion b-cell lymphoma

Now the Good News:

He is sure that he removed all of it.

I have been referred to an Oncologist for further evaluation and possibly on
going evaluations and chemotherapy/radiation treatments.

From all information that I have received so far this condition involves the
lymph glands, it is normally reoccurring and it is very treatable.

When I know more, I will pass it on.

Good luck,

I have battled skin cancer myself, and know the stress of not knowing for
sure if it was all cleaned and will it ever come back?

You are now a Survivor! It is a good club. Had my prostate carved out a year ago. PSA 0.0. I just said a prayer for you.

Bob

Seems it was a good day for phone calls on both sides of the boarder today.
Late this afternoon I got a call from my 'knife' man
...seems he'd like to do a bit more chopping and hacking at my throat. He'll
decide at the end of the month after I drop by for a visit. It will make
the third 'johnny shirt' event since early June...it appears these guys
don't know we're busy with our GMC's !
Good luck...and in the meanwhile, drive the Colonel like you stole it <VBG>

Bob,
I have not experienced what your going through. I'm sure it can happen
to me to. It takes lot of faith and strength to go forward and
accomplishing the things that are dear to your heart.
Positive mental attitude goes a long way.
I like the good news.
