Noticed today while checking out some other accessories around the engine that large top hose going from top of engine to top of radiator on drivers side had a large bubble near the radiator. This bubble is about the size of a ostrich egg. This was a new hose less than a year ago when I had engine rebuilt. Anybody know what causes a bulge like that? Defect in hose or what? Part no?

What year coach do you have???? Part number are different between
engines.

The hose is basically two layers with a cord mesh between them so it won't expand under pressure - think of the chinese finger things you played with as a kid. A pinhole in the inner layer will allow the water get between the two layers and blow up the outer layer like a balloon.

if it fits, does not leak, it is a good hose.
