I had the same problem with my first pair of bi-focals more than ten years ago. I solved the problem by getting my eyes cut. I have forgotten the term for what was done, but the eye lenses were re-shaped. They do it now with a lazer but when I had it done, it was with a blade. I've got one eye for reading and the other for distance. Not perfect, but keeps me from having to wear glasses of any kind any more.

The problem I repeatedly have with my bifocals is that on really close up work I take them off and set them aside so that I can see......then I STEP ON THEM ! Think I've done that 3 times in the last couple of years.

The former owner of my house won the lottery:$220K Per year for 20 years
or something like that. He moved to a condo and spends his money
sponsoring womens softball teams...Why not bikini contests or GMC
motorhomes???
