People in Portland awoke to 5 - 6 inches of spring snow this morning.
What's up with that? More predicted all this week. No GMC stuff going on
here. Was going to put a fresh 455 in a coach in my shop today, but
instead, I started with blood tests starting at 0730, still in the infusion
lab receiving 2 units of red blood cells. More tests tomorrow, involving
bone marrow biopsy. This old age "stuff" is not for sissies. If I had known
what this decade wad going to entail, I might have partied more when all
the fun stuff was no longer allowed.

We are sitting here in Manitoba waiting out the worst blizzard we have ever seen. There is talk about it being the worst blizzard in over 100 years. Our GMC was finally clear of snow and was due to come out of storage this week. Now, who knows?

Rub it in! 51° here. 30° degrees last night. Broken high cloud cover with
occasional sun breaks. Snow all gone here in Salem, but still a lot of snow
damage to trees, power lines, etc in parts of Portland from heavy spring
snow. But, we do not have spring tornadoes here. Bet you would trade our
late August weather for your high humidity/temperatures, though. Here we
size air conditioners for their ability to cool. There, you size them for
their ability to remove water from the air. Different strokes.

Yup, rub it in! We are still trying to remove the 60 cms (24 inches) of snow that has fallen in the past two days. And more to come on Sunday! Drifts over 8 feet high, and our doors were just unblocked late today. Our '73 GMC was supposed to come out on Saturday, now I'm not even sure I can find her under the snow.......

Hey, David,

There IS some ELDER I can respect! And who can call me "Young
Whippersnapper" -- since my 85th birthday wasn't until 14 February! But I
was MUCH luckier on the next day. Sure GLAD you're doing well now (even
if snowed in).

Tom,

Sure sorry we're not down there with Y'All, 'tho' it's just as warm here.
But not sorry we were there when the GMCMI cancellation occurred. Hope all
those who came down with Covid had been vaccinated and are surviving well.
