Hello all,
Here goes my second chance at posting this question, Hopefully in the right place this time.
I'm new to the forum and the GMC motorhome. I ran across a thread about replacing all the old supply lines in your coach with pex and had some questions about how much of a pain it is to run the new pex through the ceiling channel?
I'm concerned that there may be factory ties securing the old pipe making it near impossible to pull the old pipe out without having to open up the ceiling. I was hoping to cut the existing female fittings from the old pipe and couple the new pex pipe to the end and pull the old out while pulling the new in at the same time if factory ties don't hold up the show.
I've also thought about running the supply lines around the back end of the coach as they are in the ZEO6584 model and just abandoning the ceiling runs if needed.
Any thoughts or words of advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your time
Jerod

It's been a few years since I did it but I don't remember much trouble running pex over the ceiling. I have a '73 and it has a plastic panel between the closet and bath module and I did take that off. Gave me enough access so it wasn't that big of a deal.
