The Palm Beach rear window is missing the locking strip. I kinda sorta remember reading something about the emergency exit pull ring being attached to a wire that would cut the gasket. But it looks like a pull ring around the locking strip would make it easy enough to push the window out from the inside.
Does anyone know if the rear window locking strip is the same as the front windshield locking strip?

As you surmise, the pull ring was attached to the end of the locking stripe to allow one to pull out the locking strip and then push out the window.

Rear bath Birchaven and Royales have a closet in the left rear corner that covers ~30% of the rear window. I doubt that the locking strip could be pulled out from behind the closet as you'd be pulling on the locking strip in plane with the window. I guess Coachman figured we were expendable!
