I am located in Northern New York and I have inherited a 1973 Sequoia from my late father. It only has 44 or 45,000 miles on it. He was in process of restoring it. I would like to finish his project and dream. He replaced a lot of the mechanical parts like brakes fuel lines wheels tires etc. The last thing he did before he passed away was put a throttle body injection kit in it and deleted the carbs. Several people have tried helping to get this running properly but have not had any luck. It will idle great but has no power when you try to drive it and stalls out. I was wondering if anyone who knows these lives anywhere near New York would be willing to come and help with it. I would pay for time and provide a motel room as well. Thought I would throw this out there. I am looking at sometime in the Spring of 2022.

Eve,
Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum......
You are now a member of a very supportive and helping community. Please do not be put off by their forwardness. Everybody here has a not so secret agenda. That agenda is to see to it that you can enjoy your (father's) coach.
First, to this end please create a sigfile file so we know where you are and what you have without asking every time. Do this by going up to the <Control Panel/Account Settings> and scroll down to <Preferences>. In the box for sigfile, put your name, the 73 Sequoia (26?) and a good geographic reference. Northern New York is a big place and I bet there is someone in striking range. You need to find him.
In the <gmcmi.com> site is a heading for "Community", look for the "Black List" AKA GMC Assist list and try to make some contacts. There are a great many people that have installed TBI on GMCs (TZE) and there is probably someone that can help.
While I feel for your loss, getting her going could be a great tribute.
You have just collected several hundred brand now old friends, I wish you well.

To help give direction to anybody who might be able to help.
Eve sent me a photo. She has a standard howell EFI system. Not EBL.
So possibly fuel pressure issue?

Come on Jon,
Is she in a witness protection program?
A usable sigfile means everyone within reach knows about her problem and can offer problem-solving in person.
It helps... A Lot!

I see 73 sequoia. And from Watertown, new york. When I see her post on the web interface.
Body of email states northern new york.
New forum user. I give a little break on that people dont know how the posts show different to those that use the email.
