I have some GMC stuff that I want to get rid of/sell/give away but not really interested in the shipping hassels as most of it is big, heavy, worth much less than the shipping costs, etc. So I was wondering if I brought those things to a rally for said disposition, is it cool or not done? I have never been to an RV rally/convention so don't know the feeling on this subject.

Thanks and cheers.

At the GMCMI convention there are actual vendors and then a swap meet day.

I’ve been to a few and it is not uncommon to have an organized swap meet time, or depending on facilities a table or two on the side where people leave price marked stuff. One guy brought a whole trailer and people would wander by and talk at his site. Be considerate of the campground, non Gmc campers, etc and I would think you would be fine.

Shane, it is cool and it is most certainly done. No guarantees that you'll sell everything, but there's a good chance you'll buy something you _need_ and an excellent chance you'll enjoy the experience. It's also not uncommon for people to post a list of what they have for sale and offer to bring the stuff to the rally/convention. Pre-sales make it easier to determine what to bring.

If you post a list of stuff for sale be aware that posts in the forum's Swap Meet section aren't seen by people on the GMCnet mailing list.

Thank you. Pretty much everything I want to get rid of is too bulky to mail tho apparently people are interested in just coming here. I have been chatting with a gentleman re this.
Not sure when Ill be able to get to a rally but good to know that is an acceptible option for spreading the GMC paraphernia.

Cheers
