I just grabbed a tube of 10 year old red Mobil 1 grease off the shelf. Took off the plastic end to get some on my finger for door strikers and It was like brand new no phase separation or watery run off. In the past Mobil 1 was worse than Valvoline synthetic for watery run off. It dawned on me that the constant spring loaded pressure stored in the gun might be an action like a grape press of sorts, squeezing out the liquid. I will try pulling back and locked the spring loaded plunger for storage and see if problem subsides Others are encouraged to share results.

John,
I have a tube of mobile 1 that is a year old. It is unopened and leaks like crazy. But I think the Texas heat plays a factor. It is in a storage unit that gets up to 120*+ in Houston.
Scott.
