Has anyone used this? 2 2.5” in, 1 3” out. Flowmaster 40 Series chambered muffler part #425403
My exhaust goes out the back, barely hear it running, don’t think I’d hear this one either.

I put a very similar size, similar price, chambered muffler, 3" in, 3" out on mine after the Y before the 90 into frame. It was loud, and sounded wonderful bouncing back to my ears from passing guardrails and jersey barriers etc. But, ...quite loud. Not the best setup in campgrounds if you want happy neighbors.

After a ~2200 mile trip my wife requested a change in mufflers and I agreed, we added a pair of turbo style mufflers in the stock location, now it's very quiet.

I put on 2 of the Flowmaster 7 series after a backfire had blown out some brand new generic aluminum mufflers. The 7s are pretty loud. it's is a nice low growly loud -- nice for an El Camino on Saturday night, but I could really do without it on the RV.

The Flowmasters have endured a few backfires without grenading or showing any ill effects though, so I am grateful on that front.

We use two Flow masters and have worked on our kit.
We use the Stainless Steel one as it last a long time and has a life
time warranty.
It is quiet.
Go to our web site and view our kit.

Last year for grins and giggles I replaced my rotted out Y tube with a home built resonator. Two 2 and half in front from Flowmasters and one 3 out the side. Hardest part was getting the right angle from box to pipe but once done sounds good.

Cheers
