We are having a new engine built for our 1977 Kingsley, and are getting close to the time to have the old engine removed, and the new one installed. We live in the Boston area, and the new engine is being completed in Oak Ridge, NJ. Any recommendation of a reliable shop to make the engine swap, experienced in GMC motorhomes, is desired. Please let me know your thoughts!! Thank you in advance ; ) - Matt

Matt,

The only place I know that's totally familiar with the GMC in the New England area is actually pretty close to you.

Thank you Richard. Mike Glover is so good that he is booked, big time, particularly now that Spring is on.

I'll keep on trying (I must ; )

If you are west of Boston I suggest you look at the truck shops along Route 20 heading into Worcester.
Price usually lower near Worcester. Lots of repair shops.
Good luck.

1977 Kingsley 455 as stock as it gets except lots of Ragusa parts

I was going to suggest Ken Fry in Quakertown, PA but I just checked and he's closed his shop. Too bad he did great work!

Yes, he did do very good work, and helped me out more than once. When I
had my 23' with him, he was in negotiations with a younger person to
take over. Guess it fell through :-( and now my favorite German mechanic
is also closing down shop :,( - in the end I will have to do more and
more myself.
