Hello everyone!
I recently purhcased a 1978 26' GMC motorhome.
We are very excited to start our new adventures.
I've read coutless posts from this site and found tons of great information from all of you...THANKS!
I've been doing some repairs and fixing the odd thing over the last 3 weeks. Last night I went out to the motorhome to find a smashed window and now I need a replacement.
Its the window behind the front passenger seat.
The borken window is the fixed part of the slider window. Not sure if the link will work but I attached a google photo link to a pic of the broken window.

I still need to check all the glass shops locally but the one that was open today said they don't have anything but will do the install if I can find one.
I live in Central Canada, so if there's a new, good used option for me to purchase me in Canada even better.
But shipping something from the US would also work at the right price.
I don't think I will find anyone local to source the part AND install it but i will start phoning more local shops on Monday.
Any help or direction you can provide would be great.

Terrible! So sorry to hear of your damage. I have what should be the
correct replacement for the broken glass. I don't even remember how I
happen to have it unless it's left over from when I replaced all the '76
X-Birchaven's windows. The problem is my location in S. GA! There's no
cost for the window, but packing and shipping will be a problem. Let me
know if you get this desperate.

No duty for vintage parts - but there may be sales tax, depending on the declared value (which is fairly low [$20/$40] when coming into Canada). Mark the value accordingly!
If there IS sales tax added, there will likely be a brokerage fee as well...
Just an FYI - so you're prepared!

We have a program for shipping all over the world that is extremely lower
and know how to save for shipping into Canada.

A normal glass shop most likely won't have the piece. For safety reasons you should only use automotive tempered glass.
Tempered glass cannot be cut after tempering (hardening). You could also use laminated windshield glass that can be cut.
A place that does truck windshields that are often flat may be able to help.
Home Depot sell acrylic glass replacement the would work to fill the hole. As has been noted, several people do have
the exact piece you need but if it is dropped during shipping it will break into a "thousand" pieces
Just what I know about auto glass.

I wanted to thank everyone for their replies. This is really a great forum with so many people willing to help. It's GREAT!
Special THANKS to Glenn in Thunderbay, Ontario for having a window for me. I found a shipper and have now installed my first window on the weekend.
I have one follow-up question:
When I installed the window (Fixed window behind the passenger seat.)
As part of the install process I needed to remove the window separator that has a couple small screws in it.
No big deal, it came right out since the old window was smashed.
When I went to reinstall the window I had difficulty getting this separator slid into the new window.
I seen a video online using a block of wood and tapping it, but I tried this and was too nervous in doing damage.
I had to take the metal separator off and install it on the window first then install it and the window into the frame.
Now my question. The reason it was resistant in sliding into the window was because of two rivets that hold part of the window closing/locking mechanism. I have attached a picture link that shows the rivets. They look like the PO may of installed them.
Do you think these will cause an issue for me? Should I take it apart again and see if I can get something that is a lower profile?
Or no big deal?
I don't care about the look and everything is functioning fine...my only concern is I don't want a smashed window because if these rivets.
