After wrestling with my A/C bracket for two years, I have these parts left over.
Does anyone know where they go?
I hate it when I have even washers left over.

One is a 10 1/4" round support bar/bracket with a half inch hole on one end, and a 7/16" on the other.
The next game from the engine area, looks like a plug wire support with 2 - 1/4" holes, one end with a bolt/washer wear, one end without.
Finally a thick 5/16" washer.

Cannot find any thing in the parts or other manuals.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim,

I can send you pictures, but mine is a 73 455 and I do not know if it is the same.

Thank you for the offer.
I found a new one in the owners manual, the green one.
B/W and small but it should be the 403.
If no one else chimes in I'll take a rain check.

Thanks!

The bar goes from the top back of the alternator to intake manifold. Braces the alternator. 77 78 X7725 manual, 6Y-9 Figure 5 Generator mounting.
The small 2 hole bracket goes on the exhaust manifold . Holds the heat riser pan to the manifold. Parts Book 8.006 part #53

The washer is a spacer that goes between alternator and bottom bracket. Back side.

Jim,
Here is a pic that shows two of the parts in your photo. As Tom described, the bar in your pic, and the thick washer are for alternator mounting. The washer is critical for proper belt alignment, and the bar helps support the alternator against the tension of the belt. Ours is also a 403.

Thank you very much!
Not sure how I missed them in the parts manual, must have spent 4 hours hunting and seeking.
