Time is getting close for my trip to the interior of BC to pick up my new-to-me coach.

If it rains on the way back the last thing I need are streaky worn out wiper blades so going to pick up some before I head out.

Easy to fit? length? any tips?

Thanks lads

Larry,
Buy a bottle of Rain-X. Clean the windshield thoroughly with a good glass cleaner, and apply the Rain-X...two coats. Wipe till the haze disappears and drive it home. JWID

Blade is useless if the connectors are not same as you need.

I agree that rain-x works like a charm. Something about the angles and wind flow over our windshields works well to keep them clean. I've bought maybe two sets of new wiper blades in 25 years and yet, since rain-x, have never had a problem with visibility. JWID

So I gather from the above that the blades are 20"? Are they standard attachment or is the fitting to the arm proprietary?

I don't do rain X, I use 20/10.

Want a REALLY CLEAN windshield?

Use extra fine steel wool.....

This is no joke. The other day (means in the last ten years to people my age) I took a friend to pick his car at a professional detail shop. When we went in the glass guy was right at the door working on a large windshield. I thought I had skipped a groove as I was going to ask what they use to get glass so clean. Then I realized that he did not have a rag or a spray bottle of any type in reach. I halted for about a minute (probably a lot less actually) before I asked what it was he was using to get all that glass so clean and bright....

He held his hand up and said "fine steel wool".....

He promised it could not hurt the glass, but one had to be alert for the insides of glass that might have tint film on it.

For years now, fine steel wool has been a part of the windshield kit that lives in the passenger seat box.

Oh Yeah, I put RainX on there too, but I also have the bent arms from a silhouette that uses blades I can get at Walmart. (thanks Ken)

ditto on Rain-X. Even though my wipers are new, I usually dont even turn
them on with Rain-X on my GMC. I wouldnt hesitate to pick one up without
wipers if you dont find them.
