Not everyone's taste for sure, but this is what my coach looks like. Shocked Very Happy

This 1977 Palm Beach would have spent most of its time in Arizona, Colorado and California - last sold in Bakersfield sometime around 2014/2015. Now located in BC Canada.

Anyone remember seeing this around or know anything about it's history?

Thanks

Larry

Larry:

Have you started planning when your "go and get the GMC" trip will be? Knowing those roads the way I do - I guess it will be more of a "window" than a "date".

I personally would like a long stretch of good weather to traverse those roads in a GMC...

No nothing decided as yet Rob, I'll be getting her registered on the weekend.
Incidentally I didn't have to pay the Ontario tax (as you said), but that was only because the coach was "shipped" to BC and I "took delivery" outside of Ontario. If I'd have driven her back from Ont. I would've had to pay.

Other info that has come to light is that the tires may only be 5 yrs old, not 10 as I previously thought and that the air bags may be "new" as of 2015.

Still looking for a place to put her when I get back to the Island, no point bringing her down if I have no-where to park, so a parking spot is job 1.

Surprised that no-one on the list hasn't seen the coach but it's possible she got the vinyl wrap just before she left California and as she's been stored indoors since then, well ....

Anyway, still like to come and have a look at your rig if poss.

all the best

Larry

Yes - I saw your update regarding the tax, that's good. It's what I would have expected - but the big unknown was Ontario! If you lived in Alberta and travelled to BC, brought a vehicle back - there would be no tax payable in BC (and if paid, it could be refunded). I've done that many times in the past!

Good luck regarding tires and air bags!

I thought you had a storage spot lined up? If you are willing to pay for a covered spot - I can check where mine is. I'm not sure if they have a spot or not...

I'm still laying low - with the current COVID wave that's been looming. But we can arrange a visit ASAP...

Spot need a lot of work, has to be leveled plus I went out there last week with a tape measure, it is barely 26 feet and width is a bit narrow unless I pull a stump, so in an emergency OK, but otherwise not really on so if you'd ask at your place I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Larry
