Good morning all.
Quick question here. Looking to put a new 190° thermostat in. Robert Shaw
or Stant?
Thanks in advance.

I just installed a napa premium one. they had a base, a premium and a "fail open" one at the local napa.
that replaced my robert shaw, but in the end it was a fan clutch problem rather then a thermostat issue. I am going to keep the napa one in, and the robert shaw one(2 years old) is now in the spare parts bag.
I would only run a 195 degree. some may argue, but after trying both the 195 does not temp swing like the 185's do.

I put in a 195 Flowkooler Robertshaw from Applied. So far so good. The unit Cinnabar put in came apart where hoop is pressed to body. Maybe that was the one to buy back then, it seems to change as far as what’s recommended du jour, but the Flowkooler is an entirely different design and supposedly higher flow
