Is there supposed to be a seal or something on the fresh water filler door?
For some reason i'm loosing (according to the gauge) a 1/4 tank of fresh water after driving for a few hours....its not leaking on the ground or in the coach so im assuming it coming out there.

Thanks Ken....guess ill have to figure out why its
or how its loosing water.....not a huge deal as we have plenty at 3/4 of a tank but....
Ken Burton wrote on Wed, 12 August 2020 10:29On a GM fitted coach the door only opens to allow access to the water tank filler cap behind it. No seal on the door.

Rich,
1/4 tank is a lot of water to lose. There would be signs, either inside or underneath your coach. Is it possible that it's just the "step function" OEM tank sensors? If you're just at the half tank sensor it reads half of a tank, but if the water level drops a gallon or two it can read 1/4 tank.

Its not leaking a 1/4 tank thats for sure as i just had to deal with a bit of junk in the pump pickup and it looks pretty full to me. Its a mistery at this point....lol.

I had a similar problem I filled up the water tank before we left home. no water drips on the driveway.
Got halfway through Georgia on the way to Florida. we were loosing water! Stopped at a Rest Area and as we returned to the coach there was a puddle forming underneath!!
It turned out that I had not closed the water tank drain valve last time I drained it and a mud dauber wasp had built a nest in the drain pipe and plugged it up completely. The while driving the mud softened from the water and began to leak out.

Well i think i solved at least part of it....right hand turn onto highway from Park last evening ejected a nice bit of water out of the propane compartment vent.....caught it in the mirror.
Now how the heck i solve this problem is going to be interesting...any ideas? Other than putting out of a lane etc....
Could i plug the filler tube till we wanted water?

My 20+ year solution: Eliminate the gravity fill and use a female hose
fitting mounted inside a utility door. Pressure fill is a lot less trouble
to me than standing there holding a hose. Especially since I added, about
4 years ago, a level sensing circuit to control an electric fill valve at
the fill connector.
