Yes, I figure I can improve *at least* 4 mpg with a slick roof!! LOL
I am hoping to reduce some streaking on windows when it rains and also,
with our coaches sitting so low, I dont like to see my roof all faded and
looking rough when I am in an area that you look down on the coach from
above. Lets leave the shabby roofs to the SOB's next to me!

After you wash it and do one time hand and knees with a Milwaukee buffer, future maintenance is easier. I have used a lambswools wooden floor wax applicator to apply cleaner/polish while standing up. Then wrap a towel around it to remove polish. Notice I said polish not wax. More 2000’s.

After seeing how much my SIL has suffered after falling off of a ladder, I
ain't gittin' up there no more! He's got 6 SS screws and a plate in his
ankle.

I might consider using a wash/wax product on the roof of ours as it needs to be done [i havent had time yet] but to hand wax/hand polish....no way....takes long enough to hand wax/polish the 4 vertical surfaces let alone add 26 feet of horizontal space. Now if i had nothing better to do and the wife was nagging me to get an uninteresting task done i might reconsider.....lol

I saw a sign for a company that will foam clean your house roof.
I bought a foamer for my power washer to try to clean the GMC.
Useless but looked awesome.
Seems like a good business opportunity.

Ken S—-No wax any more. Just polish. My Imron was chalk 10 years ago. Buffed out well with McGuires cleaner wax. Since then switched to Zaino Z6 all in one. It’s a cleaner polish with newer tech. More for show cars but seems to last very well. Good cleaning and light cut.

I’m just trying to protect the OE paint enough that it doesn’t need repaint. Roof takes a beating.

In the North Eastern parts of the USA, where they use road salt, waxing the
frame is the least you should do. Some people make a point of using a
pressure washer, followed up with a garden sprayer filled with used ATF,
and spraying everything under there until it drips off like rain. There are
commercial products with anti-corrosion properties made just for this task.
I am all for anything you can do to keep the "tin worms" away from your
frame, and anything else under there subject to corrosion from that salt.
Several friends make an annual trek to the Bonneville Salt Flats with
their racing machines. No matter what you do to clean up the undercarriage
of those cars, when you work on them later, you always dig salt out of
everywhere. It eats up everything.

I've used Penetrol on older cars and parts of the GMC frame to protect from rust.
It's a paint conditioner and also sold to treat unpainted metal such as shovel blades and other tools.
I clean the frame and apply with a brush. It creeps into voids such as the sandwiched area of the GMC frame.
