As I put in the topic description. Now it includes heavier duty stands. I have now idea
what brand/model to recommend.

According to the email I got, they will refund ANY jackstand they sold. The option in my case is a stack of 18 - 24" treated 4x4s used to crib the coach.

One can do as Johnny suggested or you can purchase stands from a reputable place such as Safety Supply, Grainger, Matco Tools, etc.....i have never understood why people try to skimp on safety equipment...you just gotta know that personal safety items and discount retailers that sell Chinese brand products is a recipe for disaster sooner or later. JMHO

As a mechanic they teach you to never trust "one safety system" always have a backup or second......ie: you should never be under a vehicle on a lift without safety stands as well"....so why would being under an RV in your driveway be any different, its 12000lbs over your head or body.....I always have both, blocks and stands so i dont have to worry EVER.

One additional safety feature that I incorporate using any brand of jack stands with our RV is to place 1x1ft quarter inch steel plates under the jack stands. In the summer heat, my asphalt driveway gets hot and soft and it has been amazing how far into the asphalt those jack stands will sink if the weight on their feet is not properly distributed.

I was at a rally in 199? and a latecomer limped in with a bad mechanical
sound emanating from underneath the coach. By this time, I was well into
happy hour, and was not in the clearest of mindsets. After the new arrival
got parked, a group gathered at their campsite to "bench race" the problem.
The decision to raise the front of the coach, support it on stands, then
crawl under it while running it in drive to ascertain the source of the
noise. So, well knowing that I was in no shape to be crawling around under
a running coach on stands to try to track down the noise, I took my
stethoscope and crawled under. As I was probing the hubs, knuckles, final
drive, etc. The coach decided to part company with the flimsy leveling
stands it was teetering on. Only my keen sense of self preservation
prevented me from becoming a statistic that night. God looks out for drunks
and fools, and I was both that evening.
NEVER, NEVER, EVER crawl around a running coach! Bad stuff can and
will happen. Damn quickly, too.
Learn from my experience, don't learn it for yourself.

A friend sent me this years ago. Still good advice. We can now add jack stands to the list.

Someone once told me NOT to buy the following at Harbor Freight:

1) Parachutes
2) Fire Extinguishers
3) Pacemakers
4) Vaccines
5) Birth control devices
6) Elevators
7) Bullet proof vests
8) Trigger locks
9) Pitons
10) Scuba Gear

I would like to add trailer wiring kits to your list Emery. I bought one
for my utility trailer and the wire was so thin and weak that it was nearly
impossible to strip without breaking the wire.

I use my jackstands only as backup to the cribbing, and only on the concrete pad under the tin shelter it lives on when it's home.
