I'm trying to do some layout on my new project and was wondering if someone with a quadbag system could give me a couple of dimensions. I need to find the center of pin to the center of bag height distance and the thickness of the steel.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Hal

I pulled a skirt off my 77 to check. The steel is 3/8 thick. Best estimate from center of zerk on pin to center of bag is 14 1/2 inches. A little hard to get an exact measurement .. Just getting best guess on center of bag.

Hope this helps, JohnS

Thank you so much John, that really helps. I didn't know if it was 5/16" or 3/8" and it makes a difference in the frame strengthening.
Thanks again.
Hal

I thought about it some and figured a better way to measure the center of the bag and I think 14 1/4 would be more accurate, although that is a little suspect as it is sort of a "slant" measurement. John S.

I took a photo and posted it on your build thread here. I believe the pin to bag distance is 13". I can confirm that the plate thickness is 3/8"

Thank you guys so much, you certainly went the extra mile. That picture is perfect. I'm trying to lay out a bracket that will incorperate the frame cut (for the half shaft) and the quad bag type suspension at the same time. This really helps.
Thank you again, Hal

You're welcome. That should be pretty slick. You've probably seen the install instructions that show the overlapping plates that hold the fixed end of the quad bags. Pretty sure those are 3/8" plate as well - I can measure if you need that.
