I use 4x4 treated lumber in about two foot lengths. I don't like jackstands except on a solid smooth slab. And I'll skip Harbor Freight ones anyway. I don't get under the coach until it's cribbed on 4x4s.

I'm with Johnny. I use the stands plus 4x4's. Never ever trust "safety" stands by themselves, regardless who made them.

Yesterday I was installing upper control arms on my 65 Dart. Now, I have many pairs of stands of different makes and age. I bet you can guess which ones the front of the Dart is sitting on. Shocked
There are no labels on them, tho they are clearly "Pittsburg" so I'll just have to put some old wheels under there until I can get the stands out and check them over.
