A friend sent me a link to this article about GMCs:
https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2020/02/21/gmc-motorhome-was-brilliant-rv-with-bad-timing?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&ut m_content=20_February_24_Newsletter_NewDD

There's a very interesting note in the comment section I've never seen before:

"Most owners didn't realize that if the front wheels were turned either completely to the right or the left that BOTH drive wheels would engage and lock and you could 'walk' the coach gradually out of most snow or mud situations by turning the wheel one way and lock and then turn it the other way and lock. I never got stuck but you had to know the technique."

Can anybody verify this technique??

thanks,

It's an old 4 wheeler/ Jeeper trick AFAIK. Rather than spin and dig deeper, cutting the wheels gets new bite for the spinning wheel. There's an addicting YouTube channel "Matt's off road recovery". He pulls out rigs twice the size of his little stock engine XJ and uses this technique to get himself out of trouble often.

Bob Sobrito had a video showing he had to back up his drive way when the
fall leaves on drive way were wet.

Haven't heard from Bob in several years. I know he was under going cancer
treatment 7 years ago.
