Hello again GMC braintrust!
Continuing along with my complete overhaul... I have painted the frame with por15 and have put the fuel tanks back in after a refresh. I will get to the black tank at some point. Tomorrow I will get the new fuel lines installed. I am getting close to being able to get new floors in and wondered what everyone is using as a replacement for the hard floor insulation from the factory. Mine busted all to bits pulling it all out and I'm not sure I would have reused it anyway. Looks like the old stuff was 1" and must've had some heat rating for the exhaust.
As always, any help is much appreciated.

Well we will have a couple reviews then! Upon further investigation I found they actually have 1.25 " available on their website. I'm trying to find a retailer who will bring it in. You don't think 1.5" will be compressed too much?

Just a quick update...I ended up buying 2" and spitting down the middle. I'm glad i did because this stuff does not compress much at all! I used a 24" english bow saw with my wife ensuring i was staying straight on the far end. Easy as pie. Cuts like a dream. Mold proof, fire resistant and rigid. If there is a better product for this application, I would be surprised.
The pack comes with 6 sheets so 12 in half. I'll update if that does the whole floor. I suspect I'll need one or two extra sheets unfortunately. We shall see. Too much of a PITA to upload photos or I would.

So you ended up with 1" thick slabs, just to make sure I am following you.
I am just trying ti finish up my front end rebuild to finally get onto the
floors. Do you think the 1 1/2 " would be too thick?
Thanks,
Rich
