Hello all,
has anyone here installed one of these ARP Defend refrigerator monitoring systems?
I was looking into fire prevention for the refrigerator compartment and ran across this and it seems to be a good solution to the problem of running refrigerator off level and overheating the
system.

https://www.arprv.com/index.php

wondering how hard of an install it is and if it works as advertised.

thanks
Joe

I'm surprised no one has tried this out, I'm going to order one and try it as it seems like cheap insurance for a $1200+ fridge and is preventive rather than putting in a fire extinguisher system that only engages after damage is done.

Thought maybe Bob Donahue would chime in since his gmc fire was traced back to a over heated fridge. where are you Bob? haven't seen you post on here for quite awhile,I always enjoy your 'unique' and interesting viewpoint on issues.

I've been using one for a couple of years without issue. Can't give any real input other than it still works. Simple install and cheap insurance.

Thanks Hal,
did you install the monitor inside or outside?
and did you get the 2 inside recirc. fans?
and 1 or 2 of the exterior vent blowers? seems to me that 2 outside blowers is a little overkill.

Thanks
Joe

I mounted it outside but have a solar powered fan so didn't use any of theirs.
