So sad. Dan made you feel like an old friend the moment you met him.

Mike, Facebook and I are not on speaking terms, and are not likely to make
each others acquaintance anytime soon. The format is O.K., but the users
must all be the same people who shop at Walmart on Halloween.
Glad to hear that Teri is doing well.

I, too, miss Dan and Teri. He stopped at my Oregon home several times when
he was on his way to visit relatives in Tillimook. He stayed one time for
a week and attended one of our SOOR rallies. I stopped for the night at
their residence in Missouri about 4 months before Dan passed. Teri served
up an excellent dinner and we talked some, but Dan was hurting pretty bad
at the time and I guess he didn't get any better until he passed. I left
early the next morning and did not say good buy to him as I didn't want to
wake him up and I wanted to get to my NC home that day. We often exchanged
emails as Dan did with a lot of other folks. He and Teri were friends to
everyone. At 60, he left us much too early.

Yeah, I miss Dan as well. We used to hang out together at Quartzsite and the occasional rally. He was a great guy and Teri is a fine woman. Dan was the kind of guy who made you feel like you were best friends and I bet he had a lot of best friends. He is definitely missed.

Dan died during my time away from GMCnet, and I found out about it maybe a
year later. But I was no less sad for the loss. He was one of the younger
guys, like me, and we hung out whenever we were at the same rally. The last
of those may have been Berrien Springs, which was when? 2009?
I’m always sad when we lose someone in the GMC community, because it really
is a community. But Dan is one I especially miss.

Rick,
Berrien Springs was 2006.
When we got there for Sunday only (we had previous obligations) we had owned the coach for a few hours less than a week.
We were welcomed by Emery and everybody treated us like long lost friends. Mary and I both felt at home.
I did meet JimK there and a few others, but did not meet Dan until DuQuoin in 2010.
Counted him as a good friend.
