I used my short block on a overhauled engine where the cam went flat and
installed Mondello stuff on up, including intake and stainless rollers and
rockers. Also kept my quadjet. After many thousands of miles, As far as I
know, the current owner is a happy camper. I had to machine the heads to
keep the pushrods from bending, but that was a Mondello defect. From a dead
start , if you wanted to get on it a little, you would have to let up to
stop the spin. Turned a lot of heads at stoplights.
You don't need that kind of muscle for these motorhomes. I would not spend
that money again on that muscle.or Mondello.

Still running strong. Just turned over 52,000 miles last Thursday (152,000 or 252,000 ?)
Now when I get some time I need to rebuild the front end after I finish the inside
Only so much time in a day.
