A lot of the Coachman built Royales came with two roof A/C units. It's not that they were absolutely needed. ( I added insulation in our 4 years ago.] Some where wired to have the rear run off the Onan only. Some not. A lot came with automatic transfer switches for shore/gen. But it's nice to be at one end. And run the A/C at the other end for comfort/sound. The Coachman 26 ft Royales, and the 23 ft Burchavens where big up grades over the GM completed coaches. Their much better built. No pressed board. We've had two. Have all the paper work on the 78 Royale that we use how. It sold new for $48,000 plus. 4 years ago. We put in $42,000 in parts only. I like having the dual A/C units. Bob Dunahugh
