Anyone have a rear bumper mounted storage box, if so what is it made of etc...? The wife wants to bring our 2 german shepards with use which means 2 large collapsible dog crates have to travel with us. Im thinking bumper box instead of roof box because the crates would be a pain to wrangle up/down the ladder.

I've had a pickup truck box mounted on my rear hitch for years and I've seen larger/
deeper boxes on hitches too. I like it better than a roof pod. Just watch your weight
in the box as it adds up quickly.

Look at what Frank Jenkins sells, he makes a fiberglass box and he has a diamond plate box he sells.

I use a cheap Harbor Freight Hitch Mounted Cargo Rack to haul 3 collapsible dog pens.
I just bungie strap them on.
