Hey folks,
I just bought my coach and having ball joints replaced. Im gathering torque info for the technician working on the repair. I just wanted to make sure this is still an accurate statement for the axle nut.

"Install drive axle washer and nut. Torque nut to 140 ft. lbs. If necessary to align cotter pin slot, tighten nut and install NEW cotter pin and crimp. Torque not to exceed 280 ft. lbs. NOTE: Do not back off nut to install cotter pin.Mark A"

Upper Ball Joints 40-60
Lower 100-125

You should get the service manual for the truth. I thought it was 350 ft-lbs.

The maintenance manual 7425 states 110 ft-lbs, and then tighten (only!) to
align cotter pin, for the drive axle nut at the wheel hub.

Mike,

You really should download the manuals.
https://www.gmcmi.com/gmcmh-manuals/
Or, you can join GMCMI and get them all on a USB drive.

I just bought the coach and out of town and the BJs will come in tomorrow for the shop to install. All I have is a 74-75 manual 75 was a year that the lower BJ went to a heavier duty size. Thinking mine maybe inaccurate because it includes 74. Besides the repair manual the only other place I saw was this http://gmcmotorhome.info/front.html#Moog. And even this talks about mistakes in the manual. Also I did not see the specs in the maintenance manual in the link you provided.

Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind I did find it and my numbers above are correct for 75-76. Thanks Matt it was also on the 75-76 Maintennance Manual.
