Newbie here - 403 Olds in 77 GMC. Needing to replace air & oil filter.

From reading, seems the Wix 51049 is best for oil.

Air? What is the stock replacement? Is it really better to go K&N? Any thoughts from al the experts?

K&N is almost no filter at all. Not good. Buy a good paper filter and change it ocassionally

ACDelco A212CW is the air filter.
Keep your GM car all GM as the filter housing sticker states. Same filter used in GM muscle cars as the Buick GS455 and Olds 442 so no concerns on "flow".

Kevin, if you look you'll see that Applied GMC is a division of Applied Air Filters. Ask Jimmy The K about them. My coach came with a K&N thing on it, you can see daylight through the gaps.
