Got this from a Message from GMCMI "GMCMI Monthly E-News - August 2019"

"shared from Richard Smith of the GMC Mountainaires:

FMCA has recently increased their Membership cost by $25 per year to a total of $75/year to help support their Assist program. However, they have made a deal, if you renew your membership by Sept 1, 2019 the $25 increase is waived. FMCA has said that you could only renew for 3 years, but I just renewed for 5 years at a total of $200. Do it TODAY!!!!!!"

I went to renew at the lower price and found that the online renewal (I applied before the 9/1 deadline) was 5 years for $300. At that rate I will wait.

Has anyone renewed at the $200 rate for 5 years? If so, what did I do wrong?

Well I am glad I brought it up. I called just now (11:45AM 8/30) and extended my membership for another 5 years @ $200. This is the last day for the deal.

Thanks for the responses.

I had to phone in because their silly website won't accept my nine-digit (plus hyphen) ZIP + code. Anyway, I renewed for three years at $135.

Thanks for the heads up. Just called and put 5 years on. They will add those years onto your existing term.

I called FMCA 10 minutes ago and asked to renew for 5 years. They said
"sorry, but the price went up yesterday". I said others in my motorhome
group had reported today that they were able to renew 5 years at $200.
They said let me check; came back and let me renew. So I am good until
January, 2026. Like Emery and others, I hope to still be alive and driving
my GMC for the next 7 years.

I just got off the phone with FMCA. Because no one was notified (not even FMCA staff!) about the price increase until the day it was taking effect (in other words, too late) apparently Jon has said they will honour the old fee rate until end of today. I just did a 3 year renewal at $135. But you won't be able to do it on-line. You'll have to speak to a live person.
