Well it is that time of year again.
Kim just sent out a note to GMCMI members announcing that we are doing this again. So it is time that I announce it here too.

I set up a special email just for this. So those interested can contact me at GMCWindshield@gmail.com . I will send you a big form letter with all of the information including scheduling and pricing.

As usual the manufacturer's warehouse stock will be the limiting factor on quantity. Last year we cleaned out 2 of their 4 warehouses and ended up with 20. The year before they tried to ship everything out of Oregon (their main site) to fill the order. Then they found that someone decided to have a giant wiener roast and all of the highways were blocked to trucking eastbound so they could not deliver on time. So we cleaned out their other 3 warehouses around the country.

This year I am trying to get all orders ASAP and notify them so they can reposition some if necessary to meet our the demand.

We usually get 20 to 24 but the install guys will stay a 3rd day if we have enough orders and the warehouse can meet our the demand. I will call the warehouse to see what our upper limit will be. In the first 10 hours after Kim's announcement, we booked scheduled 14.

So please get your orders in quickly if you want in on this.
If you are just interested, send a note to GMCWindshield.com and I will return you my form letter. If you are ready to order, send the following to me at GMCWindshield.com :

1. Name

2. Windshield(s) to be ordered (Driver's side, Passenger side , or both)

3. Address (street, city, state or province, and zip code.

4. Contact phone number (before the rally)

5. Cell phone (if you will have it at the rally)

6. Year and model of the coach (for the receipt)

7. email address

8. Any special requests.

Mean time I will try to find out what our upper limit is.

If someone would like to copy and paste this on Facebook, please do so as I do not do Facebook.

For us new guys, what is this and why would it be a good idea for me to jump on this?

Are windshields getting hard to find and this is a last chance to set some aside, or is this a bulk pricing opportunity?

Hey Todd:

Like a lot of things, experience counts, and the installers that Ken Burton has lined up are seasoned and superb.

Improperly put in windshields will start to have white fogging in some areas. They will also leak around the gaskets.

Those are probably the top two reasons for replacing the glass.

In my case, I took a rock hit on the passenger side a bit ago, so I won’t pass WV Inspection until I get it fixed (yes, WV inspects Motorhomes, Ambulances, Fire Trucks and Police Cars. Go figure)

Yes sir.

If you are interested, send me an email at (GMCWindshield AT gmail DOT com). I'll send you a detailed form letter back along with a link to the rally information. Kim says the rally information will be updated with sign up information on August 12. The windshield sign up is going on right now. I have 22 signed up so far in the first 3 days but still have room for more.

I never announced a cutoff date for windshield orders to be installed at the Mansfield GMCMI rally. I had planned on Sept 15th.

I got a few day extension, so the cut off date for new orders or changes is: SEPT 19th at 5PM CENTRAL TIME I still have some open slots for a Monday installations and probably could get one of the Saturday or Sunday scheduled installations to swap to Monday if you absolutely had to have a Saturday or Sunday.

So to all of you "fence sitters" get your reservations in now. So I can finalize this order. I know of at least 6 of you.

Ken,
I am again part of the set-up crew for the Mansfield convention. I will be on site by Sunday Sept. 18th and available to receive the windshields as I have for you in the past. Let me know if that is what you want. Glad to do it.

Yes I was going to ask you to do it again. I just have not got that far down my task list yet. I expect them to arrive on Wed or Thursday. As before we will need a fork truck to unload the pallets.

I have not got to Kim yet to work out the on site details yet but at this point I assume they will be just like the last time there.

I will call you.

Opps. That should be on site by Sept 29 not the 18th. I'll wait for your call.
