I went with the stock configuration, double mufflers up front because I didn't want to have to make any modifications to make the single rear muffler fit.
I bought the aluminized 3" system from Applied, but you might want to go with SS due to your location. It was easy to install, except for the head pipes (from the exhaust manifolds to the mufflers) which are not included. The Applied system is designed for use with headers. Maybe Jim has improved the kit and offers the head pipes for manifolds now. I don't know.

We can supply adapters to hook up to the stock exhaust pipe that comes down
from the manifold.

Here is what I did for my rear mounted. Picked up the "Y" from Jimmy K and did the rest myself. What a PIA with the trial and error fitting...multiple trips to the muffler shop for bending...etc...etc. If or when I have to do it again, I'd buy the ready made SS system from Jimmy, install it and be done with it. I like the rear mount muffler. Reduction in heat and noise. Make sure you put heat shields between the muffler/mufflers and the floor. JWID

Our new style SS 3" rear mufflers are now made slightly smaller so it fits
in the rear section easier.

FWIW, some have used old cookie sheets as heat shields. About the right size and makes. use of something that was going to be thrown out anyway. Plus when it gets hot you are treated to the smell of fresh baked chocolate chip.... YUM!!

Keith,
I'm sure the muffler will clear the sewer tank o the royal, just to be sure
look, as there are two configuration. Just be sure to put the heat shield
to protect the tank and the floor.

Yes one can use one muffler at the front. My concern is restriction on flow
as I have not found a way to make it work easily and efficiently.
I have seen some , so I will be looking into it, just need to contact me to
work on it.

Lot of you need to be aware that a muffler shop cannot bend a pipe with out
inducing restrictions.
Mandrel bends are expensive but worth the cost.
Also the Japanese Engineers figured out that having the muffler toward the
rear helps to allow exaust flow, as the pulsing waves do not get disturbed
too early.

The stock system is available from us, but the demand is low , so cost is
high.
