A few weeks ago my I Pad IOS updated and since then in the address bar with the forum open it says "not secure". Other websites shows a pic of a closed lock. Is this something I should do something about? I do have Norton security running.

Nothing you can do on your side. Norton Security is for your client
security, the lock you see on other sites is to guarantee you that the
data transfer between your computer/iPad and the server is encrypted.
This encryption can be configured by the site owner, only. It use to
cost a lot of money, these days, with Let's Encrypt, it only costs a
couple of minutes of configuration time, and inclination on the server
operator to do it.
Yes, your username and password might get compromised when you are on a
public wifi network, but that's about all. And as you surely have used a
different password for each site you visit, it would only mean, other
people could post in your name to the forum/ML.
