Larry and Lucy Wiedner just left headed North for Cheese Country. They stayed over last night and we put a new rear hub on their toad this morning.... and found the reason the old one was noisy. The inner race had checks and pits at the bottom where you had to look for them. One new hub ass'y from Advance and it ran silent on the test drive. Their Royale has been here a week while they flew out to a son's wedding and back last night. Pictures showed a sharp couple. And the septic guy finished the new system and the inspector came and blessed it. Flush without fear. Now I can attempt to finish my engine install.

Yeah, he was admiring the GMCs. I told him I would be complaining to my Commissioner for the County having an inspector who was friendly, smiled, and knew what he was doing. My septic guy won't even work in one of the metro counties, he says the inspector shows up, finds a fault, and offers to fix it for a handout.

Johnny, those kinds of guys need to be chained up and dragged down a gravel
road behind a pickup until the chain is nice and shiny.

When we were in Tulsa, many county inspectors drove Buicks, or stretch diesel pickups. The head electrical inspector worked weekends on our religious station, and drove a Chevette. The word was out - do it according to code or he would let you do it again. He'd make a case in a minute when someone offered a bribe. He's long gone now, but there oughta be a lot more like him. When we build out John Young Parkway in Orlando, samesame. We had to explain why we had the strange garage - which was for the Starship, our GMC Motorhome remote coach.
